Greetings from Pastor Julie and my family!
We moved to Montana in 2020 from Colby, Kansas, and absolutely love living in the Choteau community and serving in the Choteau, Brady, and Dutton UM Churches! Prior to my current appointment, I served at Colby UMC for a year as the Youth Pastor and Children's Ministry Director and was appointed as the Associate Pastor in 2016. I was commissioned as a Provisional Elder in the Great Plains Conference in 2018, and I am in the process of transferring my membership to the Mountain Sky Conference where I will be working toward full ordination as a UMC Elder.
I received my AAS degree and cosmetology license from Seward County Community College in 2005. After working in the cosmetology industry as a stylist and cosmetology teacher for several years, I decided to continue my education and enjoy being a stay-at-home mom and childcare provider after my oldest son was born in 2008. I received my BGS degree with a General Business emphasis in 2012 and my BA degree in Sociology in 2014. In 2015, my ministry journey began, and I started seminary at Iliff School of Theology in Denver working toward my M-Div.
Along with me on my ministry journey is my husband, Robert Dye, and our five children: sons, Alexander and Ethan, and our daughters, Isabella, Kyndal, and Aleeah.
In our free time, our family loves to enjoy the outdoors when the weather is nice including fishing, camping, hiking, BBQ's, and visiting new places as much as we can. We love being so close to the mountains! We also enjoy movies, playing games, and watching sports in our free time. We especially enjoy our friendly family rivalries between the Chiefs and Broncos, Rockies and Royals, and Texas Longhorns and KSU Wildcats!
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Julie and Family
