Greetings from Pastor Julie King and my family!

We have moved to Montana from Colby, Kansas, which is where my ministry journey really began.  I served at Colby UMC, first, as the Youth Pastor and Children's Ministry Director and, then, for two years appointed as the Associate Pastor.  I am currently a Provisional Elder in the Great Plains Conference, but will be transferring my membership to the Mountain Sky Conference throughout the next year.

Along with me on my ministry journey is my husband, Robert Dye, and our four children: sons, Alexander and Ethan, and our daughters, Isabella and Kyndal.  The older kids are really looking forward to making new friends and beginning school in Choteau this Fall.  And although Kyndal cannot talk yet, I am sure she will greet you all with her smiles and giggles and be excited to show you all of her milestones of crawling and walking that she is about to reach!

I received my AAS and cosmetology license from Seward County Community College in 2005.  After working in the cosmetology industry as a stylist and cosmetology teacher for several years, I decided to continue my education and enjoy being a stay-at-home mom and childcare provider after my oldest son was born in 2008.  I received by BGS with a General Business emphasis in 2012 and my BA in Sociology in 2014.  In 2015, my ministry journey began, and I started seminary at Iliff School of Theology in Denver working toward my MDiv, which is on track to be completed this December!

In our free time, our family loves to enjoy the outdoors when the weather is nice including fishing, camping, hiking, BBQ's, and visiting new places as much as we can.  We are really excited about being so close to the mountains, as we are used to making the 4-5 hour drive several times a year from where we live here in Kansas!  We also enjoy movies, playing games, and watching sports in our free time.  Although, we should probably give you all a heads up that we are house divided on our sports teams with Robert growing up in Colorado and myself in Kansas!  We enjoy our friendly rivalries between the Chiefs and Broncos, Rockies and Royals, and Texas Longhorns and KSU Wildcats!

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Julie King and Family
